Berry Breakfast Shake

A lighter start to the day, this delicious smoothie is both delicious and satisfying.

Ingredients, serves 1

15g tablespoons chia seeds
200g high protein yoghurt
200ml milk of choice (I used almond)
10g almond or peanut butter
100g mixed frozen or fresh berries (strawberries, blackberries, redcurrants, raspberries, blackcurrants etc)

Optional: 1 teaspoon maple syrup of you need it sweeter!

TIP: Use soya milk to increase the protein by 5g

Add more milk if your berries are frozen. Add a couple of ice cubes if using fresh berries to thicken and chill. You should not need to defrost the berries as they chill the smoothie. Check your blender beforehand to check it can work with frozen food or ice cubes!

Method

Mix all the ingredients, including the frozen berries together in a blender until smooth.
