Bullet or Butter Coffee

You may have heard about bullet coffee and that some people drink it while intermittent fasting. But, for those who are not up to speed with this health trend, here is some more information. MCT’s are naturally occurring fatty acids, derived from coconut oil (though not the same as coconut oil as MCT’s are a particular chain length that can boost ketone production for energy). MCT’s are thought to burn fat, power the brain and curb appetite.

You can have one of these in the morning while you are adapting to your intermittent fasting. Once you get the hang of it, you may find you don’t need it anymore.

Who is this not suitable for? If you are a slow metaboliser of caffeine and know it does not suit your body, this may not be for you. If you are adrenally exhausted or have HPA axis dysfunction, caffeine may also not be right for you. Otherwise, give it a try!
