Chilli with a Twist
MAKE 1, FREEZE SOME! Using lentils in a chilli has many benefits. Firstly, it makes the meat go further, so that a little goes a long way, and secondly it adds nutrient diversity and fibre to the dish. Nutrient diversity means we get a wider range of nutrients in the dish that our body will thank us for. The beans in the chilli along with the lentils provide valuable fibre for the gut microbes and make the dish even more filling. Apologies, this recipe makes a LOT, but it is great to have in the freezer for a speedy supper.
