Oat Bran Porridge
In this recipe, I’m using oat bran, as it contains around 50% more protein and 50% more fibre than regular oats, making it a far more nutritious choice. It also has the bonus of cooking instantly, meaning there’s no need to stand stirring a pan when you’re trying to get out of the door in the morning.
I’ve adapted this recipe to maximise both the protein and the fibre while keeping the calories sensible. The combination of oat bran and flaxseeds supports more stable blood sugar levels, helping you stay focused, energised and free from mid-morning hunger.
