Chocolate and Cauliflower Protein Shake

Chocolate and Cauliflower Protein Shake

Chocolate and Cauliflower Protein Shake

This idea happened because I had too many cauliflowers in my fridge. I decided to freeze one in florets as an experiment to see if this works. This completely works, I promise. And I didn’t need to cook the cauliflower first, I just froze it as it was. Frozen cauliflower adds a veggie to your smoothie and it’s undetectable. As it is used frozen, it chills the protein shake down and makes it thicker. It is a fantastic banana substitute that is LOWER in carbs 🙂

This can also be used as a breakfast shake as there is so much in it. I had it for a late breakfast before my dog walk.

Ingredients, serves 1

250ml plant based milk
1 portion protein powder
A few florets of frozen cauliflower
1 tablespoon cacao nibs
2 dried figs
3 Brazil nuts
Optional: 1 tablespoon pumpkin seeds

Method

  1. Whizz together in a food processor or bullet blender and serve!
